Downunderlust Photography has been proudly Australian owned and operated since 2007.

Formerly trading as Matt Hawke Photography/Overland Exposure; for close to two decades Matt has been working across many corners of the Australian photographic industry, finding success in his passion for capturing the magic of the Aussie outback. 

After graduating in Applied Commercial Photography studies and learning the trade on Large and Medium format film and in darkroom processing, 

Matt has gained experience across editorial print magazines in 4x4 and travel, focusing for most of the last decade on documenting overland adventure and life in remote places. 

Having enjoyed working between editorial, high end architecture and live music photography, Matt's current focus is creating aerial and ground based landscape imagery in the remote areas of the Australian continent, as well as personal projects of 35mm film imagery.
